X-Server for windows X-ThinPro allows to run UNIX (X-Windows) applications on your PC and is an inexpensive but powerful and effective way to transform a standard PC into a fully functional X-terminal.
Included in the package are the X-Window System, TCP/IP, FTP, TFTP, LPR, TELNET client server and NFS client server. Everything that you need to run all your remote Unix and X applications is included.
X-ThinPro provides full support for multiple X applications, sophisticated window managers, including TWM, FVWM, Motif, Open Look and desktops like CDE, KDE etc. X-ThinPro enables on your PC's screen to work at once with several graphic applications (X clients) executed simultaneously on various network nodes. As a result, a heterogeneous network appears for you as a unified large computer system arranged directly on your desktop.
As an added feature X-ThinPro gives users what they have been asking/looking for in this X Sever - the new Labtam XThin protocol providing a full range of server-running applications in both textual and graphic (GUI) form through a telephone network (dialup or permanent connection). This means you now will able to run full X applications anywhere via a telephone/cable connection using the Labtam X-Thin protocol.
New in this release:
1. The new feature - "Dynamic Forwarding" was implemented. This feature allows to start FTP, XStartup/Rexec and other facility through established SSH-connections without direct access to remote hosts.
2. XServer may be connected to remote LbxLoxy facility.
